1. 目的

同济医学院海外校友总会（TJMCOAA）和华中科技大学同济医学院、附属同济医院、同济医院著名外科教授邹声泉教授经过充分协商与沟通，达成协议成立“同济医学院海外校友总会-邹声泉青年杰出临床科研奖”。

“同济医学院海外校友总会-邹声泉青年杰出临床科研奖”的建立，是为了鼓励在外科领域以及其它临床领域的国内外同济医学院青年校友追求杰出临床研究方面的努力。

2. 评审委员会

同济医学院海外校友总会应在其成员中选出杰出科学家组成该奖的评审委员会。

I. 评审委员会需要10-12名成员；

II. 应任命一名主席和一名副主席来管理评审委员会的工作；

III.主席和副主席是候选人的提名联络人；

IV.设立中国联络处并任命联络处秘书协调评审工作；

V. 评审委员会成员需要有稳定的任期（6年）。

3. 候选人及奖项标准

I.该奖项应颁发给杰出的临床研究者；

II.该奖项每年评审一次，具体提名、评审及获奖者宣布时间由评审委员会另行通知；

III.候选人采用自荐或他人提名方式；

IV.提名时候选人年龄不超过40周岁的年轻科学家，学术职称不超过副教授；

V.每一位候选人应提交最多三篇作为第一作者或通讯作者的论文；

VI.所有外科和临床科学领域的研究人员都有资格参加，但是评审委员会成员不能提交由他们的合作者所撰写的论文，或者如果他们的合作者是候选人，则应该启动回避机制；

VII.只有在同行评议的科学期刊（中文或英文）发表的论文才有资格获得审议；

VIII.只有在提名前三年期间发表的论文才有资格获得审议；

IX.若已经获得国际或者国家奖项的论文将无法获得获奖资格。

4. 提名方式

I.同济医学院的海内外所有校友都将邀请在指定的时间内按照评审委员会制定的时间表提交提名。但是，对于在中国开展临床工作的年轻科学家的提名应给与优先考虑。欢迎申报者自我提名;

II.提名材料应包括：

1） 个人当前简历；

2） 被提名人研究/创新活动的半页（少于1000字）记叙；

3） 两份推荐信：一封来自同济医学院海外校友总会成员的推荐信，另一份来自中国比较熟悉该候选人临床研究工作的人的推荐信;

4） 所有的材料都应该组装成一个数字文件（Adobe PDF或者Word文档），并通过电子邮件发送给评审委员会的联系人;

III.每个人提交的提名人数不超过两名。提名时限：每年3月15日-5月5日；评审期限：8月1日-12月1日。

5. 评审标准与方法

I.评审委员会应提名3人作为每一个候选人资料的评审员，评审员应是在临床研究工作的相关领域中的杰出科学家；

II.每一位评审员需要给每一位候选人打分，评分范围在0（最低）到5（最高），评分标准如下：研究主题的重要性；研究思路的新颖性；严谨的研究设计和方法；出版物的质量；对科学知识或临床实践的影响。每一个领域有同样的权重。

III.在3位专家评分的基础上，为每一位候选人计算总分；前四名候选以及他们的材料都将提交给评审委员会的每一位成员;

IV.得奖者的最终遴选将由评审委员会投票决定;

V.每年有两名获奖者获奖（一名来自外科临床研究，另一名来自其它临床研究）；

VI.如果没有一名候选人达到足够高的评审标准，评审委员会将宣布本年度奖项为缺失。

6. 奖项性质及用途

I.该奖项包括2万人民币和一个荣誉证书；

II.奖励基金属获奖者个人，基金用于资助参加在中国以外地区举行的国际会议费用或国际短期进修与交流;

III.同济医学院海外校友总会应通过通讯渠道（网页、期刊、邮件、微信和其它媒体）宣传获奖者；

IV.同济医学院海外校友总会应向其科学家推荐获奖者并帮助获奖者提供国际培训和科学交流机会;

V.同济医学院海外校友总会应邀请获奖者参加每两年一度的科学年会。

7. 颁奖典礼

1）颁奖典礼安排将视情况而定，由评审委员会主席、邹声泉教授和最终得奖者协商决定。评审结果公布时间为每年12月6日。

2）经评审委员会最后确定获奖者名单后，由工作委员会向获奖者发放奖金。

3）具体发放奖金细则另立。

12月6日是中国“现代外科学之父”、“医学泰斗”、“人民医学家”裘法祖院士诞辰104年纪念日，我们满怀敬仰之心，深切缅怀一代宗师。裘法祖院士“做人要知足，做事要知不足，做学问要不知足！”的至理名言深刻影响着分布在世界各地的无数同济医学院校友。为了弘扬裘法祖院士崇高精神、激励同济医学院青年校友追求医德、医术、医学的全面发展，传承同济医学院的文化与传统，同济医学院海外校友总会（TJMCOAA）与母校华中科技大学同济医学院、附属同济医院、附属同济医院著名外科专家邹声泉教授经过充分协商与沟通，经同济医学院海外校友总会理事会与董事会全体委员通过，决定设立并正式启动“同济医学院海外校友总会-邹声泉青年杰出临床科研奖”项目。

同济医学院海外校友总会为做好该奖的提名与评审工作，邀请了在医学与相关领域的同济医学院校友著名专家与学者组成了评审委员会，我们同每一位评审委员会成员进行了沟通，取得了他们的一致支持并同意成为评审专家。评审委员会将以公正与严谨的评选方式评选出获奖者。

TJMCOAA-Shengquan Zou Outstanding Clinical Junior Researcher Award

(Final version, December 6, 2018)

1. Purposes

Tongji Medical College Oversea Alumni Association (TJMCOAA) and Dr. Shengquan Zou at Tongji Hospital of the Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology has agreed upon in 2018 to establish the TJMCOAA-Shengquan Zou Outstanding Clinical Junior Researcher Award (Chinese name: 同济医学院海外校友总会-邹声泉青年杰出临床科研奖).

The purpose ofthe TJMCOAA-Shengquan Zou Outstanding Clinical Junior Researcher Award is to encourage young clinical scientists in China, preferably Tongji Medical College Alumni, working in the fields of surgery and other clinical research, to strive for excellence in clinical research.

2. Award Committee

TJMCOAA should select distinguished scientists among its members to form an Award Committee.

1. The Award Committee should consist of 10-12 members;

2. A Chair and a Vice-chair should be appointed to run the Award Committee;

3. The Chair and Vice-Chair are the contact persons for candidate nomination;

4. An office with an appointed secretary in Chin will coordinate communication between Dr. Shengquan Zou and the Award Committee;

5. The Award Committee members should have a stable term (preferably 6 years) as long as the Award exists

3. Criteria for Granting Awards

1. Each Award shall be made for an outstanding clinical researcher;

2. Awards shall be made to young scientists not exceeding the age of 40 on the date of nomination;

3. Up to three papers as the first or corresponding author should be submitted for each candidate;

4. Researchers in all fields of surgery and clinical science will be eligible, but members of Award Committee may not submit papers authored by their collaborator for the award, or should recuse themselves from review process if their collaborator is the candidate.

5. Only papers which have been published in peer-reviewed scientific journals (Chinese or English) will normally be eligible for consideration;

6. Only papers published during the four-year period immediately preceding the year in which the nomination is made will be eligible for consideration;

7. Papers that have previously won international or national awards will not be eligible.

4. Method of Nomination

1. All alumni of Tongji Medical College willbe invited to submit nominations during a specified period in accordance with a schedule established by the Award Committee. Preference, however, should be given to the nomination of young scientists in China who have conducted their clinical research in mainland China. Self-nomination is also welcomed.

2. Nomination materials should include:

A). A current curriculum vitae;

B). A half page (less than 1000 words) narrative description of research/creative activity, provided by the nominee to the Award Committee;

C). Two letters of recommendation: one from a TJMCOAA member and the other from somebody in China who is familiar withthe candidate’s clinical research work;

D). All materials should be assembled into a single digital file (Adobe pdf or Word document) and sent by email to the contact person of the Award Committee;

iii. The number of nominations submitted by each individual should not exceed two.

5. Method of Selection

1. The Award Committee should nominate three persons as assessors who should be distinguished scientists normally in the related fields of the candidate clinical research work;

2. Each assessor should allot a mark to each candidate which should be a digit in the range 0 (lowest) to 5 (highest) on the following criteria: significance of research topic, novelty of research ideas; rigorous study design and methods; quality of publications; and implication for scientific knowledge or clinical practice, with equal weight being assigned to each of these sectors;

3. On the basis of the three expert’s marks, an aggregate score will be calculated for each candidate; Top four candidates and their materials will be submitted to each member of the Award Committee;

4. The final selection of the award winner or winners from among the candidates will be made based on vote by the Award Committee;

5. A total of two winners (one in surgery research and another in other clinical research) will be awarded each year;

6. The Award Committee may not recommend an award if none of the candidates submitted is of sufficiently high standard.

6. Nature of Awards

1. The award will consist of a cash award in an amount of ¥20,000 and a commemorative plaque;

2. TJMCOAA should promote the winners via its communication channels (webpage, journal,email, wechat, and other);

3. TJMCOAA should recommend the winners to TJMCOAA scientists and seek; international training and scientific exchange opportunities for the winners;

4. TJMCOAA should invite the winners to attend the TJMCOAA biannual conference.

7. Awarding Ceremony

The arrangements for the presentation of the award will depend in each case upon the prevailing circumstances and will be decided by consultation among Dr.Shengquan Zou, Chair of Award Committee, and the final winners.
